Paul warns that religious knowledge and practice mean nothing if our lives don’t align with what we claim to believe, since hypocrisy ultimately dishonors God. In Romans 2:17 –24, he shows that Jews and Gentiles alike—no matter how religious—still need the gospel of Christ, because only His righteousness can save.
